Who Are We?

J C White Geomatics Limited is a medium-sized multi-disciplinary surveying practice, established in 1981.

The practice has grown from one Surveyor and part-time assistant in 1981, through several office moves to its current size of 21 full time and two part time staff, occupying purpose-built offices near Junction 11 off the M20 and a satellite office with 3 staff in the Medway Towns.

As the company has grown, the professional attitude with which surveys are carried out and presented has been maintained and this attitude forms a core principle of the company's aims for the future.

To assist with meeting its company aims, J C White Geomatics Limited employs qualified Surveyors and sends all technical trainees on a two year day-release HNC course. The company has always maintained a flexible approach to enquiries from clients and is regularly consulted for advice on best practice and specifications.

Equipment

During the development of the company, equipment has become more technologically complex. With continuing investment and the assistance of our survey instrument manufacturer, Leica, we use state-of-the-art equipment including:

• Leica TCR407 and TCR 703 reflectorless total stations
• Leica GPS System 1200 Smartnet enabled
• Leica GPS System 1200 base station and rover
• Leica NA3000 digital level
• Leica TCA2002 Total Station
• Assortment of Leica levels

Software

To meet the demands of our clients we continue to invest in advanced software and hardware. Our current Microsoft network links both our head office at Hythe and our satellite office at Medway, enabling information to be passed efficiently between the two.

Maintaining a flexible approach, J C White Geomatics Limited has invested in a number of software packages, some of which are used to access historical data.
