The enquiries we receive from private individuals cover the whole range of services that we can offer, however, the majority of enquiries concern boundary issues or the production of a topographical survey drawing to submit for planning consent

Boundary Demarcation

Although we receive enquiries relating to all the various services we undertake in relation to boundaries, unsurprisingly the activity that generates the largest number of enquiries is boundary disputes.

Once we receive an enquiry regarding a potential boundary dispute, an experienced Surveyor will visit the site to ascertain if we can be of help. If we consider our services as a Surveyor will not help to bring the dispute to a resolution, we will advise you accordingly.

In our experience, a solicitor with experience in this field is essential, indeed we may only agree to become involved once a solicitor has been engaged.

Topographical Survey

If you need to obtain planning permission, either for building an extension to an existing property or sub-dividing a plot of land to build a new house or houses, a topographical survey may be needed at some stage of the design.

A topographical survey is an accurate representation of physical features, whether man-made or natural, that are on the surface of your site or on a plan.

It will usually be your architect who advises you whether or not a detailed topographical survey is required, however, if you wish, please contact us directly.
