London Gateway will be UK’s newest deepsea container port and the 2nd largest in Europe and is being built by a Dubai-owned company DP World in Essex. We have been awarded the monthly volumetric survey for assessing volumes of the armour stone. This is being carried out remotely by our Laser Scanning Team using an elevated scanner on a 4 x 4 vehicle as due to Health & Safety the stone is not allowed to be directly accessed. Scanning is the most appropriate method to use due to the accuracy of results achieved as the stone is of high value. December 2012
