Architectural Plans

architectural plans

A core element of our work is producing plans for redevelopment, refurbishment or recording purposes prior to demolition. Plans can be produced to various scales with differing levels of information, based on client requirements. The main requested items are:

Floor Plans

Generally produced to 1/50 and 1/100 scale, our floor plans will locate and position all the features you may require. Whether you just require a block plan for wall layouts or an enhanced plan detailing architrave, mouldings and architectural features, the level of information is adapted to meet your requirement. Levels and heighting can be added, as well as ceiling information, services and area dimensions. Information can be provided in 3D if so required. Whatever your requirements may be, we can supply an accurate, professionally presented solution.

Elevations

As with our floor plans, elevations are predominantly drawn on site using real time draughting. Information is generally drawn in 3D to allow cross checking with other elements of the survey. This is then transferred to 2D for issuing to the client. Various levels of detail can be captured, from the basic building envelope and openings, through to detailed architectural features, including mouldings, materials, window mullions and even individual stone definition. Rectified photographs and 3D Laser Scanning have become a valuable addition to our methods of capturing elevation data and are enhancing the level of information we can supply to our clients. Final drawings can be produced to any scale required.

Sections

A useful addition to any set of plans, sections enable the client to visualise the floor plan data in a different dimension. These sections can be based anywhere within the building and often incorporate intricate stairwells and unusual floor layouts. The level of detail can be adapted to meet the requirements of the client, from basic block sections through to detailed architectural sections. Sectional elevations are often a useful way of incorporating internal elevation information. Final drawings can be produced to any scale required.
