Another advance in technology has brought the scope of large-scale 3D laser scanning within the field of everyday use. With its ability to capture millions of high-density 3D points, 3D laser scanning has become a Surveyors dream. 3D Laser Scanning provides a level of accuracy compliant with other survey techniques, what was once a labour intensive procedure can now be conducted in minutes. As with all new technology, J C White Geomatics Limited has incorporated this field of surveying into its portfolio and has been applying its uses to projects for over two years.
Whilst 3D laser scanning is not always the preferred tool for data capture, its field of use is ever expanding. Whether 3D laser scanning is used to promote complex elevational or detailed timber barn structures we find that the level of information it provides us and our clients is beyond compare. Hard to reach areas, safety and time restrictive access are always key issues that a Surveyor has to deal with - utilising 3D laser scanning can eliminate some of these problems.
Given that 3D laser scanning provides us with the ability to analyse and segment any part of the point cloud within the popular CAD Environment, it is our aim to promote this tool to our clients and enable them to benefit from the rich source of information captured.
Please take time to view some of our work with 3D laser scanning. If we can be of any assistance, whether you have questions to ask or would like a demonstration, please do not hesitate to contact us.
